Beaverton, OR – A valued credit union movement partner has again made a significant contribution to Credit Unions for Kids, considered to be a charity of choice for Northwest credit unions. Enterprise Car Sales via Enterprise Holdings Foundation presented $5,000 dollars, which will directly benefit the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (DCH) in Portland. Doernbecher is one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) supported through Credit Unions for Kids fundraising.
This month’s check presentation marks the third gift to Credit Unions for Kids from the Oregon Enterprise Car Sales teams in Beaverton and Milwaukie.

“Over the past three years Enterprise has very generously contributed $15,000, said Troy Stang, president of the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA). “This year’s contribution is going to a very special cause. It will help to support a renovation of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where seriously ill newborns and premature babies receive the benefits of Doernbecher’s caring staff, nationally-recognized experts and innovative treatments.”
“Specifically the Enterprise funds will help to create a more modern, family-centered facility where programs and services seamlessly integrate to help mothers and babies thrive in the NICU,” said Ashley Schmidt, Associate Director of Development at Doernbecher.
“We know that at times like these, this gift is even more needed and Enterprise Car Sales is thrilled to assist Credit Unions for Kids at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital,” said Enterprise Car Sales Business Development Manager Alisha March. “Enterprise has been committed to the credit union movement for 50 years, and like our credit union partners, we have long been involved in supporting the communities where we live and do business.”
Credit Unions in Oregon and Washington have raised more than $11 million since founding Credit Unions for Kids in 1986. Their fundraising model became a national program in 1996 and more than $80 million in contributions have now benefitted the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
