Red Canoe Credit Union is seeking an experienced individual who will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and leading the activities within the Home Loan Department in conjunction with and as directed by the Vice President of Lending. Will research, recommend, seek approval and budget for the development and implementation of the following: Mortgage Lending Products, Technology Implementation, Business Partners, Policies & Procedures, Goals & Incentives, Compliance and Employee Training/Development. Initiates and reports needed internal changes within area of responsibility in order to accomplish objectives as stated in the credit union’s business plan. Responsible for meeting the staffing needs within the department and maintaining open communication with all personnel. Job requires member and vendor contact. Will need to exercise independent judgment with minimum supervision. Serves also as a Loan Underwriter and falls under the requirements of such position.
- Associates Degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of formal training and work experience. BS or BA preferred.
- Minimum five years management experience and in depth knowledge of guidelines, appraisal requirements, federal and state regulations, and a comprehensive understanding of loss mitigation strategies.
- Minimum ten years of progressive experience in lending related positions.
- Skilled in use of mortgage loan origination systems, mortgage loan servicing systems, Excel/database management, etc.
