Sound Credit Union, a dynamic, progressive-minded state chartered credit union is seeking an experienced Member Service Consultant / Teller for our Puyallup branch. Sound Credit Union has over $1B in assets, a membership base of over 100,000, and 21 branches throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties.
Provide members with loan applications and any other forms necessary to transact business with the Credit Union. Accept, review and process completed loan applications including, VISA applications. Assure that all conditions set for approval have been satisfied, and fund approved loans. Open new accounts including checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA’s) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s). Prepare, update and maintain monthly sales reports, which include loans, payment protection, GAP & MBP; Balloon Loan report, and Certificate Audit report. Audit new account signature cards for accuracy and proper completion. Train staff in the functions of new accounts, IRA’s, HSA’s certificates of deposit and loans, as needed or assigned. Serve as a Notary Public and Signature Guarantee, as assigned. Perform Teller and Head Teller Position Essential Duties as needed or requested.
Qualified candidate must have 2 years’ work experience in a financial institution. Prior work in new accounts and lending required. Sales experience preferred. Must be bondable.
