One Washington Financial, a wholly owned subsidiary of WSECU, is recruiting for a VP of Mortgage Servicing with the ability to lead a professional staff in a service-focused atmosphere. The Mortgage Servicing Department is housed in WSECU’s LEED Gold Certified corporate headquarters in downtown Olympia, Washington.
This exempt position reports to the Senior Vice President of Mortgage & Investments. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of state and federal mortgage programs, property tax and escrow issues, financial industry software, and mortgage related insurance programs. He or she will be comfortable coaching employee performance and development while holding staff accountable for complying with relevant laws and policies, meeting stringent investor and other reporting distribution deadlines, and providing excellent service to holders of WSECU mortgages in keeping with the company’s code of conduct and its service promise of “making our members’ lives easier”.
Required Qualifications: Experience with and extensive knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC guidelines; minimum 10 years experience in mortgage servicing and five years experience in mortgage servicing management or supervision; knowledge of state and federal regulations governing all servicing and loss mitigation activities; ability to coach and train staff; budgeting experience; proficient oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff; ability to create and deliver presentations related to the servicing function.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with FICS; training in customer service, coaching/mentoring, team building, communication and accounting.
HOURS: Monday – Friday, minimum 40 hours a week. Scheduling flexibility is required for this exempt position.
COMPENSATION: This position offers a competitive salary depending on qualifications, best-in-calss benefits package and annual incentive program.
