Department of Labor
The U.S. Department of Labor issued a proposed rule regarding affirmative action for federal contractors. The rule would strengthen the affirmative action provisions with regards to individuals with disabilities. Comments are due by Feb. 7, 2012.
National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)
The NCUA has released the December edition of the NCUA Report.
Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
The OFAC SDN list was updated again. Last update: Dec. 13, 2011.
The OFAC has created a new search tool application, which will allow users to access an online interface to search the SDN list across multiple criteria.
Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
The IRS has announced the 2012 standard mileage rates. Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, the standard mileage rate for business travel will remain at 55.5 cents per mile.
Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS)
Governor Kitzhaber announced the appointment of Patrick Allen to lead the DCBS. Allen will serve as director of the department pending Senate confirmation.
