Donations Allow You to Dress in Denim on Miracle Jeans Day

Credit union employees can feel better than ever in their favorite pair of jeans by participating in Miracle Jeans Day, a nationwide fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

With a $5 donation, credit union employees earn the opportunity to wear jeans to work on Wed., Sept. 14. Credit union members, meanwhile, can donate $1 to have their name displayed on a Miracle Jeans Day paper icon in their local credit union branch.

Credit Unions for Kids is the comprehensive fundraising vehicle for the credit union movement, with proceeds benefitting Children’s Miracle Network. The collaborative effort includes individual credit unions, local chapters, state and league associations, two national trade organizations, business partners and several trade publications. The program was introduced in 1996, and the credit union movement has since helped to raise more than $80 million for affiliated children’s hospitals.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across the continent and is primary beneficiary of the philanthropy efforts of Credit Unions for Kids. Since its humble beginnings as a televised fundraiser in 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4.3 billion, and most of it is donated a dollar or two at a time, with every donation staying in its specific community to help local children.
