Final Day for Spectrum Marketing Award Submissions

The deadline for the Spectrum Marketing Awards is tomorrow, July 15. Rush to get in your final submissions!

A volunteer-driven awards program, the Spectrum Awards honor excellence in credit union communications and marketing. Any Northwest Credit Union Association member credit union that has produced or has had someone else produce a piece of credit union communications can enter.

The rules state that each entry must contain results. What are examples of results that can be provided for entries for Annual Reports, Newsletters, and Branding?

This will be our first entry for the Spectrum Awards and I am not sure what you are looking for when you ask for a page that describes how your entry addresses the scoring categories.

Asset Categories

  • Less than $50M
  • $50M – $150M
  • $150M – $350M
  • $350M – $600M
  • Greater than $600M

Feedback and Critique
How does your work stand up against that of other credit unions? Does it communicate your message clearly and creatively? How could you improve your marketing materials to make them more effective? All Spectrum Award entries will receive a detailed critique from a group of professionals in the communications field. This type of feedback can be invaluable as you move to refine your marketing process.

In an effort to allow the first-place recipients to stand out, the Spectrum Award is presented to the first-place entry in each category and asset size. The Honorable Mention recognizes those entries deemed by the judges to be top-notch, and worthy of recognition as a runner-up to the Spectrum Award. All entries must meet minimum quality requirements in order to qualify for any award.

Awards Luncheon
Spectrum Award winners will be announced during the Spectrum Awards luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 16, during the Association’s Annual Convention in Tacoma, Wash. You can purchase tickets to the Awards luncheon on the registration form, or visit the
Convention Website in the coming weeks for more information and to register for the 2011 NWCUA Convention and Annual Business Meeting.

Early entries must be received by July 1 to receive the discounted entry fee. The final deadline for all entries is July 15.
