NWCUA Announces Town-Hall Schedule

To ensure the membership’s voice is heard and its questions are answered, the The Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA) leadership will travel around the region hosting town hall gatherings.

Similar meetings were held last year in advance of the merger vote. Instead of selling a merger plan, this year’s roadshow will outline a redistricting plan, highlight various Association achievements, and address any membership concerns.

As previously announced, the NWCUA board of directors approved a task force plan to redraw district boundaries, which will now go to the membership for a vote this fall. The plan will result in new board representation in 2012. The recommendations reduce the size of the Board of Directors from 18 to 11 seats, eight geographic seats and three at-large seats. The proposed new boundaries take into account both regional interests and asset size, and will have 24-28 credit unions each.

Please mark your calendar for the meeting nearest you.
