Harland Clarke Raises $1,600 for CUAid at CUNA CFO Council Conference

Although the severe weather season is just beginning, Harland Clarke is already providing support to credit unions in distress.

To support the National Credit Union Foundation’s (NCUF) CUAid program, the payment solutions provider set up a pledge drive during the recent CUNA CFO Council Conference in San Diego.

Harland Clarke pledged a $10 donation for each of the 80 attendees who stopped by its booth. It then matched the $800 amount, bringing the total to $1,600. The funds will go to CUAid’s current relief campaigns: one for the Joplin, Mo., tornado and one for the severe line of storms in the South.

“Our hearts go out to the communities that experienced the devastation caused by the tornados, and we wish them all a quick and full recovery,” said Jana Schmidt, executive vice president of Harland Clarke. “Harland Clarke is a longtime supporter of the NCUF and appreciates the opportunity to join its efforts to serve credit union staff and members affected by the storms.”

Harland Clarke, which is a CUNA Strategic Services provider, also was a sponsor of the CFO Council conference and is a gold sponsor of NCUF.

“Harland Clarke is committed to the credit union community and recognizes the critical role that donations and awareness provide to support humanitarian efforts such as CUAid,” said Wes Millar, senior vice president of CUNA Strategic Services.

Harland Clarke Corp. is a leading provider of best-in-class integrated payment solutions, marketing services and security solutions.
