Kitsap Credit Union Elects New Board Chair
Wendie Johnson has been chosen as the new chairwoman of the Kitsap Credit Union board of directors. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in legal studies from the University of San Diego. She also is a founding member of the Willow Charitable Foundation, supporting homeless causes across the nation.
New vice chair is Bill Rumbold, a retired Navy captain who has been serving as a credit union board volunteer for the past 14 years. Terry Thomas will serve as board treasurer and Jim Rowson will serve as board secretary.
OR Northwest Chapter Announces May Meeting
Oregon’s Northwest Chapter of Credit Unions will discuss the Credit Union Difference at its upcoming May 18 meeting. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost in $25.
The discussion will be led by Cheri Perry, owner of Total Merchant Concepts, which provides a variety of services to credit unions and small businesses across the country. Perry’s experience with Small Business Ownership, Customer Service, Staff Training and Motivational Speaking has given her a unique insight into how and why credit unions work so well with small business owners.
