Oregon, Washington Foundations Signal Intent to Merge

To all Oregon and Washington Credit Union Foundation Contributors:

After careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that the Oregon Credit Union Foundation and the Washington Credit Union Foundation Boards of Directors have signed a letter of intent to merge.  This is an exciting opportunity to create a single and unified foundation dedicated to serving credit unions in the Northwest. 

Initial discussions indicate that both organizations are aligned with similar missions, visions, and commitments to support the credit union community.  The foundations have combined assets of $2.5 million, and the overall goal is to improve operational efficiencies and expand the reach and effectiveness of the organizations.  Together, we can build a strong, unified foundation for the credit unions of the Northwest. 

As we move forward with the due diligence process, our goal is to always remain responsive to the needs and priorities of credit unions in Oregon and Washington.  Over the coming months you will receive additional updates.  Both foundations will continue providing scholarships and grants in their respective state. 

Our combined efforts can have a significant positive impact on the credit unions and communities we serve.  We are proud of the history of our foundations, as well as the added strength and promise this consolidation of foundations can bring to us all.
