E-Learning Modules Make it Easy to get up to Speed on MemberCONNECT

Lean staffing levels, busy schedules and individual learning styles can make it hard to deliver training in a classroom setting. With CUNA Mutual Group’s MemberCONNECT Direct Insurance elearning modules, your staff can get the program information they need in a way that best suits their learning needs—and their timetables.
The modules are a great way to get up to speed if you’ve just signed up for MemberCONNECT and they’re also an excellent refresher for credit unions with an established program. Although non-licensed staff members can’t discuss specific product details with your members, it is important for them to know which products your credit union makes available, how they’re being marketed, and where members can get needed sales, service, and claims support.
The tool comes in a handy module format so that employees can get the information they need, quickly and easily. It’s especially convenient for credit unions that don’t offer all MemberCONNECT programs; employees can go right to the sections they’re interested in instead of sitting through content areas that don’t pertain to them.
Each section takes about 10 minutes and employees can tap into the program anywhere they have an Internet connection—no special log-ins or access are required for most of the modules. Plus, if an employee doesn’t finish a module and is using a dedicated computer, the program will return to the point where they left off the next time they visit the site.
Program Overview—This is an excellent place to get an overall summary of the MemberCONNECT program. This segment explains program features, plus how they benefit your members and your credit union. This module also includes helpful information about marketing channels and member service.
Four product-specific sections: Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), Auto & Home, Life, and Medicare Suite. Each of these modules includes information about available products and coverages, how they benefit members, marketing information, and resources for member service and support. There’s also a Quick Quiz for each segment that lets employees confirm they’ve mastered the content for that section, and a Ready Reference page that outlines module content and can be printed out for future use.
Resource Center Overview—CUNA Mutual recommends that at least one staff member from each participating credit union be registered to use the Resource Center, the secure portion of the MemberCONNECT site. The Resource Center is where you’ll find a wealth of product information, training resources, and marketing materials—including an entirely updated marketing program for MEMBERS Auto & Home. It’s also where your designated team member will upload and remove member data from the MemberCONNECT program, get customized program reports, and tap into a wide variety of other powerful tools. The elearning module provides an overview of the resources in this section of the site and shows your designated staff member how to navigate the center.
