Charshaf Joins NWCUA as Communications Designer

Nicole Charshaf, 24, joined the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA) as communications designer, a position that will keep her busy creating electronic and print communications.

Charshaf is a graduate of the Art Institute of Portland who focused the core of her studies on graphic design. She also has extensive experience in web design.

“I’m looking forward to working with Oregon and Washington credit unions and all of my new friends at the Northwest Credit Union Association,” says Charshaf. “Further defining the visual identity of the Association and making sure members have access to our online resources is what I’m focusing on.”

Charshaf grew up in Marin County, California. After graduating from the Art Institute of Portland in 2009, she moved to Redding, California, where she worked as a freelance graphic design & web developer before landing her position with the NWCUA.

“There is something about (Portland) that makes me feel like I am finally home. We ‘fit’ here,” says Charshaf.

Charshaf lives in Hillsboro with her boyfriend , Craig, three cats, and her pomchi (dog) Clyde. She is a Unitis Credit Union member and is passionate about local sustainability, especially supporting the local arts, crafts and food scene.
