Summit, CUNA and Spectrum Awards all have June cutoff

The deadlines are nearing for credit unions and credit union professionals and volunteers to enter state-level awards programs for marketing and communications and service to the movement, including Summit, CUNA and the Spectrum Marketing & Communications Awards.

Information, including deadlines and entry guidelines, can be found at the Washington Credit Union League’s big awards page.

Winners in all programs will be honored at the 2010 Washington Credit Union League Convention and Annual Business Meeting, Sept. 14-17, in SeaTac.

Spectrum Awards Deadline: June 4/June 30
While the early deadline for discounted Spectrum Awards entries has nearly passed (June 4), there is still time if you hurry!  In any case, your submission is due by the June 30th final cutoff. Any League member credit union that has produced, or had someone else produce a communications or public relations piece can enter. New categories this year include Digital Media/E-Marketing and an expanded Public Relations category. There are also broader asset categories for small credit unions. More information is available on the Spectrum Awards page.

Summit Awards Deadline: June 12
With less than two weeks remaining to enter the prestigious Summit Awards (deadline June 12), there is no time to waste choosing your nomination. Luckily, nominating a deserving someone couldn’t be easier.  Just file of one of three simple forms with the Washington Credit Union Foundation, the administrator of the program. There is no nomination fee.

Once nominated, individuals are interviewed and winners are selected based on a point system and the discretion of a team of judges. The Ambassador Award, however, honoring significant contributions in promoting the credit union movement locally, nationally or internationally, is not open for nomination and instead awarded by the Chair of the League’s Board of Directors on a discretionary basis. More information is available at the Summit Awards page.

Volunteer Recognition Honor Roll and Hall of Fame Deadline:
EXTENDED to June 21

Nominations for the Washington Credit Union Foundation Volunteer Recognition Honor Roll and Hall of Fame are extended to Monday, June 21. The program honors those volunteers within the Washington credit union community who have exemplified outstanding leadership and service. Nominees meeting a scoring standard through the criteria established on the application form will be recognized in the CU Volunteer Honor Roll program. Winners will be honored at the Summit Awards reception held during the 2010 Washington Credit Union League Convention and Annual Business Meeting in September.
