May 24, 2010
Business Solutions: Information from the League’s business partners
With the July 1 deadline for the new Reg E guidelines less than 60 days away, does your credit union have the processes in place to notify your members about the requirement to opt in to overdraft coverage for ATM and one-time debit card transactions?
If you still have questions about implementing a compliant overdraft solution, make plans to join Cheryl Lawson, executive vice president of compliance review for John M. Floyd & Associates (JMFA) during a free webcast, at 11:30 a.m. PDT, on Wednesday, June 2.
In her presentation, Lawson will provide insight into how credit unions and their members will be affected by Reg E’s “opt-in” requirement and the steps credit unions should be taking now to address the situation. She will also outline the options for protecting and even increasing your overdraft revenue.
Whether or not your credit union has a recognized overdraft program, you will be required to abide by the new Reg E overdraft restrictions for electronic transactions. This webcast will provide you with valuable information to help you maintain compliance, enhance your member services and improve your bottom line.
