The Marketers' Council provides professionals in the marketing, communications, media relations and public relations field the opportunity to network and share the challenges and successes they've had promoting their credit union's products and services. The Council is interactive and belongs to the members. Beneficial presentations are offered along with the opportunity for our member credit unions to share in presentations and roundtable leadership. Regular meetings provide an outlet and a source for solving problems that will further the success of credit unions.

Your member is much more than a routing number on a check. You know that and your team makes them feel special with every transaction. But how do you help them make the turn, to make us their PFI, their community partner, their friend?
It’s a tall order, but you don’t need a ladder. Some of our Northwest peers have successfully engaged members through nontraditional outreach. They’ll share their stories when we meet for the next Marketers' Councilin Federal Way March 5th.
Melina Young, Director of Marketing for Verity Credit Union, shares the success story of Cartwheel for a Cause. Melina will tell us what motivated more than 30 members of “The Mom Credit Union” to submit videos of them turning cartwheels last year.
“Cool,” you may have thought when you heard about that one. “But what’s that got to do with the price of a car loan?” It was so much more exciting than that; it had to do with the chance to win 5K for a favorite nonprofit and was so successful, it’s now in its second year. Engagement builds trust and relationships.
O Bee’s Lee Wjonar is another innovator known for taking “out of the box” thinking to new heights. The Amazing Money Maze had thousands of members navigating acres of corn to learn about saving, investing and budgeting. Capture the Tag partnered local businesses, members and technology in a digital scavenger hunt for the chance to win big bucks.
What was the inspiration, the strategy, the path to success and the ROA for these and other projects that engaged consumers? Join us for a lively interactive marketing workout!
Please Note: You must specify whether you are registering for a 2013 Council membership, or a single meeting. Full membership entitles you to additional resources, such as a directory of respective Council members, a subscription to the Association’s e-newsletter and unlimited access to the respective Council Listserv. Registering for a single meeting will subtract $100 from the membership price, for a meeting cost of $49.
This program is open to member and affiliate credit union employees only.
