About the Lenders' Networking Council

Members of this council will stay on top of matters affecting the lending industry by having access to a wealth of information through networking with fellow credit union lenders. This council is not just about lending issues. It's about getting prepared for new opportunities and concerns facing credit unions now. The available peer support and resources in lending strategies will help bolster interest in the industry, while looking ahead to what’s on the horizon for credit union lending professionals.

  • May 14 - Beaverton, OR
  • September 19 - Federal Way, WA
  • November 19 - Beaverton, OR

Event Details

  • Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Location: Creekside 5: 8705 SW Nimbus Ave., Suite 315 Beaverton, Oregon 97008
  • Lunch: Provided with registration
  • Cost: $149 for Council Membership which includes admission to all four 2013 Council Meetings, a directory of respective Council members, a subscription to the Association’s Anthem e-newsletter and unlimited access to the respective Council Listserv. Cost for single meeting only: $49
  • Substitution Policy: In the event that a member cannot attend one of their council meetings, they have the option of choosing to send another person from their credit union in their place. Substitution fee: $20

Upcoming Agenda:

Business lending presents opportunities for credit unions and their communities. But as you know, getting your share of the market is difficult. Loan growth is slowly increasing and interest rates are at all time lows.

Alison Boswell from the Oregon Business Development Department (Business Oregon) will share some insight on Oregon State financing programs.

Alison will cover how Business Oregon is dedicated to helping Oregon businesses gain access to capital. Their Business Finance Officers provide a range of financing services to businesses and lending partners that include:  revolving loan funds for working capital and term loans; loan guarantees on bank loans; loans for startup businesses; and tax-exempt bond financing for manufacturers.  The presentation will provide highlights of each financing option available.

 

Please Note: You must specify whether you are registering for a 2013 Council membership, or a single meeting.  Full membership entitles you to additional resources, such as a directory of respective Council members, a subscription to the Association’s e-newsletter and unlimited access to the respective Council Listserv. Registering for a single meeting will subtract $100 from the membership price, for a meeting cost of $49.
