2012 Winter Compliance Networking Council

The Compliance Council brings together compliance professionals from across both states to discuss the challenges inherent in keeping credit unions compliant with the regulations that govern them. The council provides opportunities to meet with your counterparts from other credit unions, discuss upcoming regulatory changes, and devise strategies to minimize their impact. Members benefit from the collective intelligence of a room full of compliance professionals, all trying to create best practices for credit unions.

  • February 21 - Federal Way, WA
  • May 1 - Portland, OR
  • August 22 - Federal Way, WA
  • November 7 - Portland, OR

Next Meeting: February 21

  • Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Location: NWCUA Training Center Federal Way, WA
  • Lunch: Provided with registration
  • Cost: $149 for Council Membership which includes admission to all four 2012 Council Meetings, directory of respective Council members, a subscription to the Association’s Anthem e-newsletter and unlimited access to respective Council Listserv. Cost for single meeting only: $49
  • Substitution Policy: In the event that a member cannot attend one of their council meetings, they have the option of choosing to send another person from their credit union in their place. Substitution fee: $20

Upcoming Agenda:

Join us at the next compliance council! We will talk about the new, and proposed, 'ability to repay' requirements for credit cards and home loans. We'll cover developments at the CFPB, exam focus, and upcoming regulatory requirements. We'll also have a roundtable discussion and networking session. Fun!

Please Note: You must specify whether you are registering for a 2012 Council membership, or a single meeting.  Full membership entitles you to additional resources, such as a directory of respective Council members, subscription to the Association’s e-newsletter and unlimited access to respective Council Listserv. Registering for a single meeting will subtract $100 from the membership price, for a meeting cost of $49.
