We’ve received quite a bit of interest in networking on the latest and greatest technology, so… we are officially declaring July 17th “GET SMART” day.

How Tablets & Smartphones are Transforming the Workplace iPads, iPhones, Tablets, Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest are just a few examples of social media and tools that can be seen as distractions from serving your members or bringing in new members. What if you could utilize these tools and resources to enhance employee relationships and gain new members? In this session you will learn ways to identify employee needs and resources as well as how to deepen employee relationships through technology. You’ll leave this session armed with new tactics for developing tablet strategies and a high level of enthusiasm for the year. With lower costs, ease of use, and greater interactivity, smart devices are poised to transform internal service for many organizations. With these highly portable devices, personnel will be able to get out from behind the desk and engage employees with a device, answer questions, access coaching tools or review prior conversations, and effectively track development. Through the devices, you can communicate with staff in a highly effective manner, sharing the latest in product information and giving them access to member’s account information in a safe environment. Today’s employees have information at their fingertips to research, comparison shop and check reviews; organizations will provide their staff with similar data accessibility and offerings. Tablets can aid all areas of employee satisfaction and increase member service and sales. This session will give a pragmatic view of how the tablets and smartphones will play a key role in the evolution of internal service and engagement in the retail experience. Brett presents unique solutions and a way to feel comfortable embracing technology
Brett Wooden has been in the financial industry for over 10 years. Throughout his career Brett held positions as a Teller, Personal Banker, Branch Manager, Market Development Consultant, Business Development Officer, and Business Development Manager. While at Unitus Community Credit Union he developed a reputation for using technology to attract new members. He made national trade news when he started using his iPad—a Father's Day gift from his family—to make “field visits” to the offices of busy professionals who wanted to open accounts but did not have time to do so in person. This technology helps members join, update accounts and use other services conveniently. Wooden’s idea is being replicated in credit unions across the nation. Brett is a frequent speaker around the country at CUNA and Technology Conferences. In 2011 Brett was named the NW Credit Union Association’s Young Credit Union Professional of the Year for setting a national trend using tablet technology to take services into the field. |
